Community & Change

Two years following the end of his college career, he accepted a new role that has greatly benefited his background in autism advocacy. Expanding diversity with an international corporate office has given him the potential to accomplish more opportunities specifically focusing on needs and rights for individuals with disabilities.

Round Tables

While in college, David embraced his autistic identity through:

  • Civic Engagement – attended activist events with Pace’s Center for Community Action & Research. His voluntary contributions with New York based non-profits have enabled him to implement his love for cleaning and coloring new spaces, and enhance his skills towards independence.
  • International Education – a proud alum of the American Institute for Foreign Studies in Ecuador, Spain (where he blogged his ventures), and Germany. He plunged into the history of biodiversity, mediterranean culture, and anti-semitism.
  • United Nations – participated in a Global Challenges course in Switzerland exploring the establishment on the League of Nations. He was also a delegate for Pace Universities award winning Model United Nations team as a delegate at two NY conferences and one in Italy.

The experiences have taught him the grind in being the kind of change he hopes to see in the world.
